Day-18 Telangana Poruyatra




Sri G. Kishan Reddy’s Telangana Poru Yatra continued in Nalgonda district on the eighteenth day. He held a road show at Valigonda. At Narayanpet, there was a huge gathering that waited to hear from Kishan Reddy. 


Speaking on the occasion he said that the people of Nalgonda have been facing an acute shortage of drinking water. Flourosis is the biggest issue plaguing the district. About 70,000 children and people got paralysed for life due to this disease. He said that it is a shame that these kids are facing such a disease lacking the basic need of drinking water. He wondered what else the Government would do if it cannot provide such basic needs as drinking water. Later during the day, he addressed a huge gathering at Marriguda. There was a stage set up for the flourosis affected children and people. Kishan Reddy visited the stage and had a firsthand look of this disease.


 Jagat Prasad Nadda, all India General Secretary and Spokesperson of the party attended the meeting. Speaking on the occasion he said that it is only BJP that would deliver Telangana and Congress have decided not to give Telangana. He wondered why in this scientifically developed world still people are dying for lack of safe drinking water. He said BJP would take this issue very seriously and would deliver all possible help to fight flourosis and help the affected people.

 Later, huge meetings were held at Mal and Deverakonda. Sriram Vedire, All India Convener of the Water Management Cell spoke at Deverakonda. People waited until late in the night to hear from Kishan Reddy.
