Day-20 Telangana Poruyatra


Sri G. Kishan Reddy's Telangana Poru Yatra entered into Khammam district on the twenteeth day. He held road shows at Sainampalli, Nelakondapalli and Kusumanchi. Later in the day he addressed an impressive meeting at Khammam. He asked people if the Telangana movement died down and people responded vociferously saying 'NO'.
He said that the tremendous response to his yatra is a proof that the Telangana movement if very much there and in fact multiplied many times after the Sakala Janula Samme. He congratulated the people of Khammam for their participation in social movements for the causes of poor peasants and tribes. He said that BJP would support and get the Telangana bill passed in Parliament if the bill is placed in the next budget session. Otherwise, come in 2014, BJP would be forming the Government at the Center and would sure deliver Telangana.

Later during the day he addressed a road show at Bonakal. The last meeting of the day was held at Madhira. Impressive crowds attended the meeting. Madhu Priya, the child singer of Telangana movement attended the meeting and performed at the meeting. Kishan Reddy explained how people of Telangana were ditched by the successive Congress and Telugudesam Governments and assured that BJP would stand by them during the formation of Telangana and also after the formation by implementing developmental programs to uplift the downtrodden and underdeveloped people of the region.
