Jammu, January 19: On 19 January, 23 years back lakhs of Kashmiri Pandits were forced to leave their birthland by the pakistan sponsored terrorists which were backed by the islamists forces in Kashmir and ignored by the Government of India. 19 January is generally recognized as the beginning of this process of ethnic cleansing as a result of which the Kashmiri Pandits were hunted out of the Kashmir Valley.
Panun Kashmir, which means a Homeland for Kashmiri Pandits and has became a movement for kashmiri pundits, says that, Kashmir is on the edge of being separated from India. It is the beginning of a comprehensive plan to bring about the total disintegration of India – a fact not realised by most of the Indians.”
Much is debated about the so called Azadi of Kashmir but the Indian Government and the World is ignoring ethnic cleansing of Hindus in Kashmir, the worst Human Rights violation in India.
In 1989, while V.P. Singh took hold of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) in December, situation had turned grave as terrorists aided by Pakistan began selectively targeting the minority Kashmiri Pandits.
An international Kashmiri Pandit youth conference held in Pune recently has resolved to fight for a "separate homeland" in Kashmir and protect the language and culture of the community. "Displaced Kashmiri Pandit youths will fight for reclaiming a separate homeland in Kashmir and protect the language and culture.
Eminent Kashmiri Pandit leaders and thinkers have also decided to "explore and facilitate empowerment of displaced Kashmiri Pandit youths, especially those underprivileged, living in various camps in Jammu and elsewhere". It also acknowledged the sacrifices made by elders, while responding to the situation created by a "forced exile".
Kamal Hak, national spokesperson of Panun Kashmir has expressed concern that the tragic displacement of Kashmir Pandits from their homeland had created a "sense of detachment from roots" and a feeling of being a stranger in their own country.
Noted Kashmiri playwright Amar Malmohi highlighted how political class in the valley was "Islamalising" the language, literature and culture of Kashmir.
Called “migrants” by the administration, the Kashmiri Pandits are in fact refugees in their own country due to total failure of the Indian State to provide security and safety to them when they were ruthlessly persecuted, threatened, tortured and murdered by the Islamic terrorists.
The grand design of this separatist insurgency is aimed at snapping all historical, economic, cultural, and political links of Kashmir valley with India and annexing it with Pakistan which is encouraging it overtly and covertly and lending moral, financial, political, diplomatic and military support. The first objective of this diabolical plan i.e. hounding out the Kashmiri Pandit (Hindu) ethnic minority from the Kashmir valley is being pursued with fanatic zeal.
Kashmiri Hindus (Pandits) are in exile since early 1990 after Islamic religious fundamentalists in the valley of Kashmir took to armed subversion and terrorism and drove them out of their centuries old habitat.
Eviction of Kashmiri Hindus (Pandits) is India’s greatest Human Rights violation case which is forgotten, unseen and ignored by anti Hindu Congress led Indian Government and pseudo human rights champions.
But the real question is when entire Nation will become sensitive and conscientious about the plight of their Kashmiri brother and more importantly the holy land of Kashmir which is being encroached by the Islamic fundamentalists as a part of the conspiracy of Pakistan which is ignored by Congress party and Muslim rulers of Jammu and Kashmir for years.
