Day-1 Telangana Poruyatra
Shri Kishan Reddy, BJP State President and MLA embarked on his 22 days yatra by performing a pooja at Ammavari temple at Basheerbagh. He was wished all success by senior BJP leaders Shri Bangaru Laxman, Shri Bandaru Dattatreya, Shri N Indrasena Reddy,Shri Baddam Bal Reddy,

Shri Endla Laxminaryana and lots of other BJP leaders and Karyakarthas. From here Shri Kishan Reddy proceeded to Amara Veerula Sthoopam and offered his tributes before leaving for Makthal in Mahbubnagar for the evening. Shri Nitin Gadkari spoke at the meeting asking the Congress Government to place the Telangana bill immediately in the Parliament. The BJP/NDA will give full support to pass the bill. If Congress Government does not place the bill in Parliament, they have no right to stay in the Government as they came to power only on the promise of formation of Telangana both in 2004 and 2009. Nitin Gadkari also said that if Congress does not give Telangana, then BJP/NDA would give Telangana when it comes to power at the Center in 2014 or even earlier whenever elections are held. He said they would place the Telangana bill in the very first session of the parliament soon after their Government is formed. He said BJP will construct a series of Barrages on Godavari to make all Telangana Sujalam Sufalam. He said BJP will implement inter-linking of rivers all across the country and try to ensure that gravity water is given to Mahaboobnagar through this program. Speaking at the meeting, Kishan Reddy said that the Congress Government failed to give water to even one extra acre in Mahabubnagar district. He said that the lift irrigation schemes like Bhima, Klawakurthy, Nettempad and Koilsagar were all started in 2004 through the Jalayagnam program but none of them were finished and water not given to the people of the district. He said that the district was completely neglected by the successive Congress and Telugudesam Governments. Prof. Kodandaram, Nagam Janardhan Reddy, Kapilavayi Dilip Kumar, Manda Krishna Madiga attended the meeting and addressed the gathering. They all expressed their faith in BJP and hoped that it would give Telangana in the future. The convoy then left to Narayanpet where a meeting was held with about 8000 people attending the meeting. Various JAC leaders came and expressed their solidarity with the Poru Yatra. Kishan Reddy while addressing the people said that both Congress and Telugudesam are the main reason for 800 suicides performed by students on the issue of Telangana. Later Kishan Reddy addressed road shows at Danvada, Marikal and Devarakadra towns.
