Day-7 Telangana Poruyatra

25th Jan 2012 Day-7 Telangana Poruyatra Sri G. Kishan Reddy's Telangana Poru Yatra continued on the seventh day in the district of Medak. There was a huge gathering of 6000 people at Narayankhed where the first meeting of the day was held. BJP Leader A.Narendra was present at the meeting. Kishan Reddy while speaking on the occasion said that many of the industrial infrastructure schemes promised by the state Government did not get into action in the district. He said lands were taken away from poor farmers for the purpose but are not put to use as promised. He said in the past 7 years only, lakhs of acres of Government lands were taken away from the pool of assigned lands. He said that the Government has no interest in the development of the poor. Later in the day, he addressed a huge gathering at Andol. He said that BJP will try by all means to develop the district. He said that Sonia has said that she understands the feelings of Telangana people and promised that she would fulfill the feelings when Congress is voted to power at the Center. People gave mandate to Congress but Sonia ditched the people by not keeping up the promise. The yatra proceeded to Narsapur where an impressive meeting was held. Kishan Reddy said that BJP will not tolerate if Government continues to harass the employees and students who have participated in the sakala janula samme and warned Kiran Kumar Reddy of dire consequences if the promise they earlier made of not harassing them is not kept. Later during the day, Kishan Reddy addressed meetings at Toopran, Chegunta and Medak. At all the places, impressive crowds attended. At Medak, many student groups joined the meeting and responded with high enthusiasm when Kishan Reddy spoke of how Congress and Telugudesam have ditched the cause of Telangana.
