Day-9 Telangana Poruyatra
Sri G. Kishan Reddy's Telangana Poru Yatra continued on the ninth day in the district of Nizamabad. There was a huge gathering at Dichpalli where the first meeting of the day was held. BJP National Secretary K.Laxman and BJLP leader Endala Laxminarayana was also present at the meeting.
Kishan Reddy while speaking on the occasion said that the SRSP ayacut is getting reduced day by day and the Congress Government is not bothered to remove the silting in the reservoir. The Government came up with Guthpa and Alisagar lift irrigation schemes by using the waters from the foreshore of SRSP itself. So the Government is not creating any new ayacut instead is only cutting the existing ayacut of SRSP. He said that BJP would fight for removing the silt from SRSP and also building a series of barrages on Godavari to utilize more of its waters to create new ayacut in Telangana. K.Laxman while speaking on the occasion said that the BJP is very firm on creating the new state of Telangana and would give full support if Congress Government would introduce the bill in Parliament in the upcoming budget session. Endala Laxminarayana spoke about how the sugar factories in the district were closed down by the successive Congress and Telugudesam Governments and privatized them to benefit private individuals thereby affecting the poor farmers in the district very badly.

Later in the day, Kishan Reddy addressed a huge gathering at Dharpalli, Bhimgal. Many students attended the meeting in huge numbers. He said that BJP will try by all means to develop the district. He said that people gave mandate to Congress after their promise to deliver Telangana but Sonia and Manmohan Singh deceived the people by not keeping up the promise. He said that the ‘two eyes theory’ of Chandrababu will fail him in both the regions. Babu has completely made a U-turn on his promise to deliver Telangana. The yatra proceeded to Bhimgal where a crowd of 6000 people were waiting enthusiastically. Emplyees JAC General Secretary Devi Vara Prasad also spoke on the occasion and extended the complete solidarity of JAC to the yatra. Kishan Reddy said that BJP will not tolerate if Government continues to harass the employees who have participated in the sakala janula samme and demanded that the Government keep up its promise of not harassing them.
