LUCKNOW: Announcing that he is not race of prime ministerial candidate in BJP for 2014 lok sabha elections, BJP national president Nitin Gadkari said that the entire issue of BJP's prime ministerial candidate is a media creation. He also hinted that a no-confidence motion against the Congress led UPA government can be brought in the winter session of Parliament.
While talking to reporters in Lucknow late on Sunday evening, on his way back to Delhi after attending two day UP BJP's executive meet in Kushinagar, he said that both BSP, SP and Congress are projecting themselves to be against each other in UP but in reality they work hand in glove.
The BSP and SP have saved Congress led UPA government every time when no confidence motion was brought in the parliament. He said that Congress is using CBI to tame BSP chief Mayawati and SP president Mulayam Singh Yadav as both of them are facing inquiries on corruption charges.
"In case, a no confidence motion is brought, the stand taken by SP and BSP will make clear whether these parties are really against Congress or are indulging in public posturing," he said.
Gadkari said that BJP's anti-Muslim image is creation of Congress's propaganda. He said that BJP is not anti minority. We have governments in nine states and there is no discrimination with minorities anywhere, he said.
Gadkari said that it wants to make it clear that BJP will have no pre or post election pact with BSP or any other political party in UP. Hei said that BJP will make lack of development under governments of opposition parties in the state, corruption and breakdown of law and order main poll plank in 2012 UP assembly elections.
Gadkari said that he is not against dalit memorials but UP chief miister has wasted Rs 10,000 crore on construction of statutes and memorials. She is the first person in the history of India to construct her won statute and garlanding it. He said that UP is lacking in development because of lopsided priorities of the BSP government.
Gadkari denied that there is no factionalism in UP BJP over the post of chief minister, in case party is voted to power. He said that BJP is fighting UP elections under the joint leadership of Rajnath Singh, Kalraj Mishra, Uma Bharti and SP Shahi. If we are voted to power, the elected MLAs will elect their leader for the post of chief minister.
Gadkari said that BJP has conducted a survey in UP which shows that party will get majority in 2012 assembly elections. While refusing to reveal details of the survey, he said that people in UP are fed of inflation under Congress rule in the country. They don't want BSP's corrupt regime and Mulayam's goonda raj to come back in UP, hence BJP is their natural choice.
