Bangaluru; October 30: “Good governance and Corruption can’t co-exist. This statement I am not only saying for Congress but also for my own party, BJP”, said senior BJP leader LK Advani in his Jan Chetna Yatra rally at Bangaluru.

Creating awareness against corruption, Jan Chetna Yatra led by LK Advani reached Bangaluru today. In a massive public rally organised at National High School grounds, Basavanagudi LK Advani criticised the Central govt and accused it of being most corrupt since independence.

“I have seen all the governments since the time of Nehru. Sadly the present Central Govt. led by Dr.Manmohan Sing is the most corrupt one. The Cash-for-Vote scam is a black mark on democracy. Instead of protecting the whistle blowers, the govt. has sent them to Tihar Jail, which shows their arrogance too. During The Vote of Confidence, several congressmen were openly saying that we will do anything for the sake of survival of the Congress led govt. But the manner by which democracy has been ruined by Congress was painful” said Advani.

PTI report adds, that Advani said he had respect for Manmohan Singh as a good and efficient administrator before he became Prime Minister but today he feels sad that he is leading "such a corrupt government".

He was highly critical of the Prime Minister in securing the majority in the vote of confidence in 2006 after the Left withdrew support on the issue of Indo-UD nuclear agreement.

"2G scam is a big scam. But cash-for-vote scam is the biggest...In independent India, there is no bigger scandal than this," the former deputy prime minister said.

Advani pegged the "dirty (black) money" stashed away in Swiss banks at Rs 25 lakh crore and asked the government to bring it back.
Veteran leader of the BJP and former Deputy Prime Minister, Shri. L.K.Advani has embarked on a nationwide “Jan Chetna Yatra”, started on 11th October (Tuesday) 2011. The purpose of the Yatra is to mobilise public opinion against prevailing corruption and put the agenda of good governance and clean politics before the people.

•             Administrative reforms;
