New Delhi, Oct 28 (PTI) Nitin Gadkari, who had extended BJP's unstinted support to the Anna movement, has said it will "stay away" if not wanted.
"We are not in the business of getting a photograph clicked wherever there is a crowd. If they want our support, we will support them. If they don't want, we'll stay away," he told Outlook magazine.
Asked if it hurt when Hazare says that he does not want support from the BJP or the Sangh, Gadkari said "did we go to Anna to ask for something? I reiterate that we will not go anywhere without being invited. We don't want credit for any movement."
He said BJP does not want to take any advantage from Anna or any other movement. "We will never go anywhere uninvited.
We will never do that. I am a very self-respecting worker.
Whether it is Anna's movement or Baba Ramdev's, we never go anywhere without being called."
