New Delhi, September 29: Veteran BJP leader L.K. Advani will lead a Jan Chetna Yatra for good governance and clean politics. BJP president Nitin Gadkari announced that the Jan Chetana Yatra is being organised to give a voice to the deep distress in the society which is disgusted with the series of scams causing massive loot of public money in the UPA regime. Gadkari told that the Yatra will start from 11 October from Sitab Diara in Bihar the birth place of Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narain.
BJP President Nitin Gadkari said that the country is main objective of the Jan Chetna Yatra will be to create awareness among the people about the need to establish an accountable, transparent democratic system which is sensitive to the problems facing the common man and is free from corruption. He added that rule of law, transparency in administration and people’s participation will also be the principle themes of this Yatra.
Gadkari insisted that Jan Chetna yatra will also focus on the need to educate the masses about the details of the monumental corruption scandals of the Congress government at the centre going beyond the rhetoric of media headlines.
BJP is all set to make the Yatra a great success. Nitin Gadkari has appointed party general secretary Shri Anant Kumar as Chief Convener. Party general secretary Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad along with two party secretaries Shri Murlidhar Rao and Shri Shyam Jaju will be co-conveners of this Yatra.
The Yatra will focus on reforms in four significant sectors: Administrative reforms; Electoral reforms; judicial reforms and Political reforms. The Yatra will also apprise the people of the BJP’s approach on the vital issues of good governance and clean politics as well as the multi-pronged strategies adopted by the party in this regard, inside and outside the parliament.
